I found this wine to be dry and well balanced. It has nice medium to light red color. It does have a slight bit of vanilla and oak with a slight fruity aroma with a slight smell of a bouquet of fresh flowers. There is relatively little tannin and although there are many thoughts that the 2006 might not be at is prime, I do think this wine should be enjoyed now. When serving place in a decanter and give it time to breathe. This is a nice and enjoyable wine. Nice introduction to Bordeaux for those that have not tasted one. Good with veal or chicken. Great choice of Bordeaux for under $20. Kosher for Passover OU
