Distillery 209- Kosher for Passover Gin- Kosher Wine Experience

In a “first ever appearance” at the Kosher Wine Experience will be Leslie Rudd, Covenant co-owner and vintner, who will be pouring his new kosher-for-Passover gin--  Distillery 209. Leslie owns the only distillery in San Francisco—located right on the docks of San Francisco Bay—where he makes this high-end artisanal gin. It’s named after a century-old former distillery located on one of his vineyard properties in the Napa Valley. This will be the first official unveiling of of Distillery 209 in its kosher version.

Unique Culinary Event -Chef Shalom Kadosh- Kosher Wine

A unique gathering of international chefs came together in Jerusalem to cook a Gala Dinner, to honor Chef Shalom Kadosh. Two hundred people paid NIS 1,800 (nearly US$ 475 each) for a ticket for this unique and prestigious event. The proceeds went to Beit Issie Shapiro in Ra’anana, which cares for children and adults with disabilities.

Baron Herzog Pinot Grigio-

Baron Herzog announced that it just bottled it's first ever Baron Herzog Pinot Grigio. Customers can expect to find that in local wine stores end of January-February. They will also be releasing a Jeunesse Reserve Pinot Noir soon, which will be sold exclusively in the New York market.

 

Dalton Matatia- Limited Edition release Mid February

Dalton Matatia (limited edition) will be released in mid February.  A fine blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc barrel aged for 2 years and then bottled aged for 1 year. Estimated 6000 bottles will be produced. a limited 1000 bottles will reach the United States.

www.wines-israel.co.il   Dalton Winery have launched their Dalton Zinfandel 2007. It is the most worthwhile version of this varietal so far in Israel.
In the past, Carmel have produced a White Zinfandel Blush wine, in their Selected Series. Furthermore Sea Horse Winery produce red Zinfandel blends under their Lennon and Take Two labels. Sea Horse Lennon is a blend of Zinfandel with a little Petite Sirah whereas Take Two is again mainly Zinfandel with Petite Sirah and Carignan.

Covenants' Winemaker at Kosher Wine Experience NYC

Those interested in trying the new Covenant and RED C wines can meet Covenant  winemaker  Jeff Morgan  at the Kosher Wine Experience in New York City on February first. In addition to the most recent Covenant and RED C Cabernets, Jeff will be pouring the new Covenant Chardonnay “Lavan,” sourced from the famous Bacigalupi Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. (This is the vineyard that won the famous Paris Tasting of 1976, when California beat the greatest French wines at their own game in a blind tasting and put California squarely on the international fine wine map.)
